Neurofeedback
A non-invasive, drug-free path to a calmer, more focused, more regulated brain — guided by your own unique brainwave patterns.
A Gentle, Proven Approach
What Is Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback is a non-invasive, drug-free, scientifically supported treatment that has been in use for over 50 years. Often called EEG biofeedback or brain training, it has gained growing attention as more individuals seek alternative or complementary approaches to wellness.
At its core, neurofeedback uses operant conditioning and shaping — the same principles behind any skill we learn — to gently guide insufficient or dysregulated brainwave patterns toward a healthier, more efficient state. The brain receives real-time "rewards" as its activity shifts into the desired pattern, and over time it learns to hold that pattern on its own. Nothing is put into the brain; it is simply given a mirror and the encouragement to find its own balance.

Where It Can Help
Neurofeedback research shows symptom reduction across a wide range of concerns:
Many clients also pursue neurofeedback simply to sharpen focus, sleep more deeply, and feel more emotionally steady — you do not need a diagnosis to benefit from a more regulated brain.
The Process
How Does It Work?
01 Map the Brain
A quantitative EEG (qEEG) is taken using a comfortable 19-channel cap. The electrodes read your brain's electrical activity and software creates a detailed "brain map" showing how it is functioning.
02 Build the Protocol
Your symptoms are compared against your brain map, and a personalized training protocol is created to target the specific patterns driving your concerns.
03 Train & Reward
During each session, when your brain's activity moves into the desired pattern, it receives a visual and audio reward. This reinforces the new pattern until the brain holds it naturally.
Our brains are remarkably adaptable. Through guided exercises and feedback, the brain learns to regulate itself — leading to improved cognitive and emotional function that lasts.
Safety First
What Are the Risks?
Neurofeedback is non-invasive and painless. The FDA recognizes neurofeedback as an intervention that does not cause harm.
Side effects are rare, minor, and rarely last more than 24 hours. When they do occur, they may include feeling tired, mild headaches, or temporary moodiness.
Because training increases brain function, prescribed medications may need to be reduced or adjusted over time. Please keep your prescribing doctor informed and consult with them about any changes.
Good to Know
Will It Work for Me?
- Every session is tailored to your unique brainwave patterns for personalized, effective training.
- Suitable for anyone age 5 and older.
- Because each brain is unique, progress varies from person to person.
- Lack of progress can stem from physiological factors such as brain injury or medical conditions.
- Medications, alcohol, or other substance use may slow progress.
- Chaotic or high-stress environments — home, work, school, or social — can also impede results.
6-7

20–40
Sessions for enduringchange, depending on goals.
45 min
Per session — 30 min training, 15 min check-in & setup.
Typically 20–30 sessions are needed for enduring change of a primary symptom. When several symptoms are being addressed, 30–40 sessions are likely needed. Positive change is usually felt around the 6th or 7th session. Attending at least two sessions per week is recommended for the best, most lasting results.
